Electrical Engineer

Company Description RK GULF is a specialist interior fit-out and contracting firm based in the UAE, serving developers, operators, and consultants across the GCC and India. The company delivers full-scope fit-out solutions, including MEP, joinery, and authority approvals, for projects ranging from luxury villas to F&B concepts, offices, and retail spaces.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Dubai. The role will entail design, review, and implement electrical systems for interior fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and project specifications. Daily responsibilities include preparing electrical drawings and load calculations, coordinating with MEP teams, site engineers, and contractors, and supporting the approval process with relevant authorities.

The role involves conducting site inspections, troubleshooting electrical issues, verifying installations against approved designs, and optimizing power distribution for efficiency and reliability. The Electrical Engineer will also collaborate with project managers, procurement, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and seamless execution within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity , with the ability to apply core principles to building and interior fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in Electrical Design and Power Distribution , including load calculations, schematics, layouts, and panel schedules.
• Experience with Power Systems , including low-voltage and distribution networks, protection devices, and energy efficiency considerations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering ; relevant professional certifications or local authority approvals are an advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE and GCC electrical codes, standards, and authority requirements (e.g., DEWA, civil defense) preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD and electrical design software, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site in a fast-paced project environment.
• Previous experience in interior fit-out, construction, or MEP contracting in the region is highly desirable.
