Overview

We are seeking an Remote Electrical Engineer to support the design, implementation, and delivery of electrical systems for data center projects. The role will focus on mission-critical power infrastructure, ensuring reliability, redundancy, and compliance with applicable standards.
The work is remotly and for a company in USA (The Three Phase Co.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support data center electrical power systems, including:
  • Medium and low voltage distribution
  • UPS systems, batteries, and PDUs
  • Backup power systems (generators, ATS, STS)
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and specifications
  • Support project execution, installations, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate with mechanical, IT, and construction teams to ensure system integration
  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure technical compliance and quality
  • Perform power capacity planning and redundancy analysis (N, N+1, 2N)
  • Support site audits, FAT/SAT testing, and operational readiness
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements (NEC, IEC, IEEE, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and as-built records

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in data center, critical facilities, or industrial electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of mission-critical power infrastructure
  • Experience interpreting and producing electrical schematics and drawings
  • Knowledge of electrical protection, grounding, and fault analysis
  • Ability to work on live, operational environments safely

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centers
  • Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards and TIA-942
  • Experience with ETAP, SKM, or similar power analysis tools
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure
  • Commissioning experience is a strong plus
