Electrical Engineer (Design & Supervision)

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Dubai to join our engineering design consultancy team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical system design, along with proven skills in site supervision, installation monitoring, and coordination with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Duties

• Develop detailed designs for power distribution, lighting, ELV, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare drawings, BOQs, SLDs, technical specifications, and calculation reports.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop, cable sizing, and protection coordination.

Supervision & Site Duties

• Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Monitor the work of contractors and provide on-site technical guidance.
• Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Report progress, identify issues, and recommend corrective measures.
• Participate in testing & commissioning and validate system performance.

Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and other engineering teams.
• Communicate with clients, authorities, and contractors as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA and local authorities).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s is an advantage).
• 5 years of experience in consultancy design + site supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, Dialux, or related software.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards, safety regulations, and QA/QC procedures.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HV/LV systems, ELV systems, and building services.
• Knowledge of green building standards (LEED, Estidama) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
