Job Summary:

Charged AE is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and maintenance of EV charging stations. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Assessment & Planning:

• Conduct site surveys to evaluate potential EV charger installation locations.
• Assess existing electrical infrastructure and identify required upgrades or modifications.
• Schedule jobs and site visits according to management instructions.

Design and Specification:

• Design electrical layouts for EV charging stations, including wiring, circuit protection, and grounding.
• Select appropriate EV charging equipment and components based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Project Management:

• Oversee the installation process, coordinating with other professionals such as civil engineers, contractors, and utility companies.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Provide detailed scope of work, risk assessment, and method statement when required.

Installation and Testing:

• Supervise or participate in the installation of EV charging stations.
• Perform electrical testing and commissioning to ensure chargers are functioning correctly and safely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation.

Maintenance and Support:

• Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for ongoing operation of EV chargers.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and users on the operation and maintenance of chargers.
• Address and resolve operational issues or malfunctions post-installation.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Maintain records of installations, maintenance activities, and any modifications or upgrades.
• Generate reports summarizing project progress and outcomes for internal use and clients.

Research and Development:

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in EV charging technology and industry trends.
• Innovate and improve current installation methods and equipment.
• Participate in the development of new products and solutions for EV charging infrastructure.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all installations comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Client Interaction:

• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Offer consultancy services to help clients make informed decisions about their EV charging infrastructure.

Sustainability and Efficiency:

• Implement energy-efficient and sustainable practices in the installation and operation of EV chargers.
• Advise on the integration of renewable energy sources with EV charging systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid UAE Driver’s License is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, preferably in EV charging or low-voltage systems.
• Strong understanding of UAE electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in electrical design tools and software.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
