Electrical Engineer / Electrician (Elevators)

ELECTRICAL ENGINNER / ELECTRICTION (ELEVATORS & CONSTRUCTION HOISTS)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Install electrical wiring, control panels, motors, and other components of elevator systems, ensuring they are correctly integrated with the mechanical systems.

2. Configure and calibrate elevator control systems, including setting up operational parameters and testing system functionality.

3. Perform scheduled maintenance on elevator systems, including checking and replacing components, lubricating parts, and ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.

4.Implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce the likelihood of breakdowns and extend the lifespan of elevator systems.

5. Identify electrical issues by examining and interpreting schematics, control panels, and other components. This includes analysing error codes and system feedback.

6. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint the cause of electrical malfunctions or system failures

.7. Develop and implement solutions to address identified problems, including replacing faulty components and correcting wiring issues.

8. Perform routine inspections of elevator systems to assess their condition and identify potential issues before they become serious problems.

9. Test elevator systems under various load conditions to ensure they operate smoothly and efficiently. This includes testing emergency systems and fail-safes.

10. Document inspection results and any corrective actions taken, maintaining comprehensive records for future reference and regulatory compliance.

11. Respond promptly to emergency service calls for malfunctioning elevators, prioritizing safety and quick resolution to minimize downtime.

12. Diagnose and repair electrical issues in high-pressure situations, such as when elevators are out of service or critical systems are down.

13. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, time spent, and issues addressed.

14. Provide clear and concise explanations of work performed and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades to clients.

15. Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, ensuring that clients are satisfied with the service provided and addressing any concerns they may have.

16. Install and integrate new technologies or upgrades to existing elevator systems to enhance performance, efficiency, or compliance with updated regulations.

17. Ensure that new components or systems are properly integrated with existing infrastructure and perform compatibility testing to verify system operation
