Electrical Engineer - Facility Management

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Facility Management team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and management of electrical systems within commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. Candidates with UPDA certification and the ability to join immediately will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the operation and maintenance of electrical systems across multiple facilities.
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical distribution systems, LV/MV networks, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, lighting systems, and associated equipment.
• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead technical teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, technical audits, and condition assessments of electrical assets.
• Investigate electrical failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Review and approve technical reports, maintenance records, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Support project execution, testing, commissioning, and handover activities when required.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
• Monitor asset performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and maintenance plans as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Facility Management within Qatar or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Electrical distribution systems
• Transformers and switchgear
• Diesel generators and synchronization systems
• UPS systems and battery banks
• Building electrical services
• Electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
• Experience in managing maintenance teams and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
• Good understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage.

Mandatory Qualifications

• UPDA Certified Engineer (Grade A, B, or C).
• Available in Qatar.
• Immediate joiners are highly preferred.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR9,000.00 per month
