Platinum Finishing Systems Inc. – 1400 Airport Blvd, Santa Rosa, CA 95403

Full-time | On-site | $30–38per hour (DOE)

About Us

Platinum Finishing Systems is a fast-growing manufacturing company that designs and builds paint booths, powder coating systems, control panels, and modular industrial equipment. We’re part of a group that also includes Advanced Extraction Labs (UL-listed labs and hazardous enclosures) and ModCUBES (HCD-approved modular construction).

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer or Junior Electrical Designer who’s ready to grow with us — designing control panels, single-line diagrams, CAD drawings, and helping develop battery backup and power systems inside containerized builds.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to learn hands-on engineering, contribute to real products, and be part of a company that’s expanding fast.

Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer will support the design and documentation of electrical and control systems for our industrial and modular projects. You’ll work directly with our engineering and fabrication teams to produce drawings, assist with control panel layouts, and help develop new power systems including battery and backup energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and panel schedules for control and power systems
  • Assist in developing battery backup and energy storage systems inside modular or containerized units
  • Prepare and update CAD drawings (AutoCAD or similar) for wiring and layout plans
  • Help design and document control panel layouts and component placement
  • Support Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and component selection
  • Work with the production team to ensure accuracy between design and final build
  • Maintain organized drawing revisions and project documentation
  • Learn to apply UL, ETL, and NEC standards for compliance as part of your professional development

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in electrical engineering, panel design, or related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar drafting software
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring, or control panel layouts (school or work experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical team members
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar (preferred, but not required for strong candidates)
  • Passion for engineering and interest in growing with a scaling company

Compensation & Growth

Hourly Rate: $30–38 per hour (depending on experience)

✅ Full-time, year-round employment

✅ Hands-on training and mentorship
