About the Role

Are you passionate about designing and maintaining advanced electrical systems in a high-performance manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer II to support large-scale manufacturing and power systems while driving innovation, efficiency, and reliability across operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong PLC, motion control, and automation expertise, especially in tire or automotive manufacturing. Client and project coordination is a must!

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and improve large-scale electrical systems and manufacturing machinery
  • Create and refine control systems to enhance reliability and productivity
  • Use CAD and engineering software to develop detailed system designs

Testing, Installation & Maintenance

  • Oversee testing, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment
  • Develop testing procedures and validation protocols
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems down to the component level

Collaboration & Project Leadership

  • Work closely with vendors, contractors, engineers, and maintenance teams
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation
  • Evaluate equipment proposals and recommend technical improvements

Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze performance data to improve production efficiency
  • Forecast equipment capabilities to support long-term manufacturing goals
  • Recommend design modifications to prevent malfunctions and increase system reliability

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) from an accredited institution

Experience

  • 7–10+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience
  • Strong preference for tire or automotive manufacturing background
  • Experience in manufacturing, power systems, or heavy industrial environments

Technical Skills Required

  • Advanced electrical & mechanical troubleshooting
  • Electrical control system design
  • PLC & motion control programming (Mitsubishi PLC experience strongly preferred)
  • Servo programming and modification
  • PLC system repair and diagnostics
  • Electrical system calibration
  • Project management from concept to execution
  • Vendor and contractor coordination
  • A PMP certificate is a plus!

Additional Requirements

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays as operational needs require
