Electrical Engineer (MEP – Interior Fit-out)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer (MEP) with a strong background in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing, implementing, and supervising all electrical systems within commercial, residential, and hospitality interior projects, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Documentation
• Prepare electrical design layouts, shop drawings, load schedules, and single-line diagrams for interior fit-out projects.
• Review and interpret consultant drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with project standards.
• Prepare material submittals and coordinate approvals with consultants and clients.
• Project Execution
• Supervise electrical installation works, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, data, AV, and small power systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, civil, and interior design teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP services.
• Ensure installations meet approved shop drawings, specifications, and authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.).
• Coordination & Management
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Prepare work schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion.
• Support project engineers and site teams in resolving technical issues.
• Testing & Commissioning
• Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and documentation for handover.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure all electrical works adhere to relevant codes and authority standards (e.g., DEWA, NFPA, BS, IEC).
• Liaise with local authorities for necessary approvals and inspections.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in interior fit-out / MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP coordination and interior project execution.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), MS Office, and electrical design software.
• Experience with local authority submissions and approvals.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
