Electrical Engineer – Production Support (2nd Shift) Security Clearance

As an Electrical Engineer – Production Support, you'll be the engineering problem solver who helps keep complex hardware builds moving forward. You'll work alongside manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and engineering teams to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive corrective actions that improve product quality and delivery.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting hardware, solving challenging technical problems, leading cross-functional discussions, and seeing their work make an immediate impact.

Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

What You'll Do

  • Support production operations by resolving technical issues affecting hardware builds and manufacturing schedules
  • Troubleshoot digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal electronic assemblies and subsystems
  • Diagnose hardware failures using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment
  • Assess technical issues, determine priorities, and develop action plans to drive timely resolution
  • Communicate troubleshooting strategies and recommendations to cross-functional teams
  • Lead and coordinate corrective actions with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier partners
  • Prepare and present engineering change documentation and technical updates
  • Maintain technical drawings, documentation, and change packages for review and approval boards
  • Analyze production yield data and defect trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Support supplier issue resolution, Statements of Work (SOW) development, and technical coordination activities
  • Track issue status and drive actions through final resolution

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience supporting, testing, troubleshooting, or developing electronic hardware
  • Experience working with digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed-signal electronics
  • Hands-on experience debugging circuit card assemblies, electronic systems, or electro-mechanical hardware
  • Proficiency using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, and related test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier organizations
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

Preferred Experience

  • Production engineering or manufacturing support experience
  • Aerospace, defense, medical device, automotive, or other high-reliability industry experience
  • Experience designing electronic or electro-optical subsystems
  • Knowledge of circuit design, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with subsystem integration, test, and system-level troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis, simulation, and measurement tools
  • Experience leading technical investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work independently while providing technical leadership and project coordination
