Electrical Engineer/Designer

The ideal candidate will have experience designing power, lighting, and low-voltage systems for commercial, multi-family, and residential projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, along with a general knowledge of building construction and how architectural and structural systems integrate with MEP design.

Ability to commute/relocate: Altamonte Springs, FL

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Draft electrical systems from concept through completion.
• Perform field surveys on existing structures as needed.
• Respond to RFIs and permit comments in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure a cohesive drawing package.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to create construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Interpret and translate design instructions provided by the engineering team.
• Revise and update projects based on new information or permitting requirements.
• Develop and refine drafting skills based on JLC CAD standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Contribute positively to team culture and project delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Qualifications:

• 3+ years of electrical engineering/design experience.
• Background in multifamily, ALFs, student housing, hotels, or commercial projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required.
• Strong ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings.
• Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Capable of working independently and in small teams.
