- Maintain up-to-date cost data, production rates, and pricing trends.
2. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and the operations team to ensure estimated scopes align with real-world installation practices.
- Participate in pre-bid walkthroughs, scope reviews, and client meetings as needed.
- Support operations with budgets, breakdowns, and project handoff documentation after award.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams to ensure all assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions are understood.
3. Vendor & Subcontractor Relations
- Solicit competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Review quotes for accuracy, scope alignment, and completeness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable pricing and up-to-date material availability.
- Incorporate current labor rates, material escalation, and market conditions into estimates.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential work.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, code requirements, materials, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, panel schedules, site plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, ConEst, or other industry-standard estimating software.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
