We are a leading construction company committed to excellence in project delivery. We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for MEP projects, analyzing documents, supporting project planning and budgeting, and working within the company’s ERP system.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating & Cost Analysis
- Review project plans, specifications, and scope.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and related project components.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns for each project phase.
- Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and prepare competitive quotations/proposals.
2. Project Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to align estimates with requirements.
- Monitor and update project budgets, adjusting estimates as scope changes.
- Support project execution through cost tracking, revisions, and risk identification.
- Recommend cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality.
3. Quantity Surveying
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Maintain records of quantities, materials, and associated costs.
- Track material usage, deliveries, and documentation for cost control.
4. Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and delays.
- Recommend cost-effective solutions, design adjustments, and procurement strategies.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare civil and MEP-related technical analyses as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, cost changes, and breakdowns.
- Ensure designs and estimates meet quality, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness standards.
- Assist with financial assessments and reports.
6. Communication & Collaboration
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors on scope, cost, and timelines.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate competitive supplier/subcontractor quotations.
7. Additional Requirements
- Solid understanding of building codes, zoning, and construction regulations.
- Updated knowledge of market trends, material prices, and labor rates.
- Proficiency in estimating and engineering software (ProEst, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and work independently or in teams.
8. Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of UAE Electrical Engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of DEWA regulations, submissions, and approvals.
- Strong understanding of MEP construction costs and basic civil works.
- Experience with ERP systems for costing/project management.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
