About Accelevation
We build what the future runs on. Accelevation designs, manufactures, and installs the physical infrastructure that powers today’s most advanced technologies. We’ve grown over 440% in the last 18 months because we take ownership, solve hard problems, and build with purpose. Join us to build the future.
Your Impact
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate, competitive, and well‑documented cost estimates for data center fit‑out and white space construction projects. Your work will directly influence project feasibility, pricing strategy, and execution success in mission‑critical environments. Working closely with preconstruction, project management, field operations, vendors, and design partners, you’ll ensure electrical scopes are clearly defined, constructible, and aligned with redundancy, phasing, and live‑environment constraints typical of data center facilities.
Ideal Candidate
- Someone who is passionate about making things better and driving change in a new manner that is more efficient and has higher quality
- Someone who is constantly thinking about how to do things better
- Someone who is comfortable with and thrives on doing things that have never been done
- Someone who leaves things better than they found them
Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, one‑lines, specifications, and scope narratives for data center fit‑out projects
- Perform detailed digital takeoffs using McCormick and/or Accubid
- Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing for:
- RPPs, PDUs, and remote power distribution
- Overhead busway systems
- Rack whips and cabling
- In‑row and overhead power distribution
- Grounding and bonding systems
- Lighting and controls in white space and support areas
- Branch circuitry, panelboards, and supporting raceway systems (tray, conduit, underfloor)
- Interpret and correctly apply redundancy architectures (N, N+1, 2N, etc.)
- Identify constructability challenges related to live environments, phased turnover, and concurrent trades
- Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and manufacturer quotes
- Prepare detailed proposals including scope clarifications, inclusions, exclusions, and alternates
- Support design‑assist and preconstruction efforts
- Participate in internal handoff meetings with project management and field operations
- Support change order pricing, GMP development, and budget revisions
- Maintain historical cost data specific to data center fit‑out and white space work
Qualifications
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience, preferably in data center fit‑outs, mission‑critical interiors, or high‑density commercial projects
- Hands‑on experience with McCormick and/or Accubid (required)
- Strong understanding of branch power distribution, rack‑level power, and data hall layouts
- Ability to read and interpret:
- One‑line diagrams
- Riser diagrams
- Floor plans and reflected ceiling plans
- Control schematics
- Construction drawing sets
- Strong knowledge of the NEC, particularly grounding and bonding
- Proficiency in Excel and digital takeoff tools such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift
- Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician background
- Experience with:
- RPPs, busway, and whip systems
- Modular data hall buildouts
- Phased tenant fit‑outs
- Live environment construction
- Understanding of commissioning and turnover sequencing
- Familiarity with major OEMs (Starline, Vertiv, Schneider, Eaton, etc.)
- Design‑assist experience
Benefits
- Competitive compensation
- Generous paid time off
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
