Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical Inspector to join our engineering consultancy team for high-rise building projects in Ras Al Khaimah. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring electrical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, QA/QC standards, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in electrical systems inspection for residential, commercial, and mixed-use high-rise developments within the UAE/GCC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections for electrical works including power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, fire alarm, earthing, lightning protection, and related installations.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, authority regulations, and international standards.
• Review and verify WIRs, MIRs, technical submittals, and inspection requests.
• Inspect cable trays, conduits, wiring systems, panels, DBs, MDBs, SMDBs, lighting fixtures, and containment installations.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with resident engineers, project managers, MEP teams, and contractors.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, NCRs, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with SEWA/FEWA/RAKEZ/RAK Municipality regulations and applicable electrical codes.
• Verify as-built drawings and handover documentation prior to project completion.
• Identify non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as Electrical Inspector in high-rise building projects.
• UAE/GCC consultancy experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems inspection and QA/QC procedures.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical regulations, IEC standards, DEWA/SEWA requirements, and Civil Defense regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in testing & commissioning activities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• UAE Driving License preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in engineering consultancy firms in the UAE.
• Experience in high-rise residential and commercial tower projects.
• Knowledge of ELV systems including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination processes.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
