Electrical Technology Instructor

About the Role
As an Electrical Technology Instructor, you will deliver high-quality instruction in electrical theory, systems, safety, and hands-on applications. You will guide students through real-world scenarios, labs, and problem-solving activities—ensuring students are ready for employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach using approved curricula, demonstrations, labs, and hands-on practice.
- Adapt teaching strategies to various learning styles.
- Provide short-term tutoring and mentoring.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized instructional environment.
- Manage and maintain classroom tools and equipment.
- Track attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Deliver and proctor assessments fairly and accurately.
- Support curriculum updates and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years recent hands-on electrical field experience.
- Knowledge of electrical systems: motors, motor controls, lighting controls, single-/three-phase systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in lab/shop environments.
- Teaching experience not required; training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs, low-voltage systems, solar, or advanced controls.
- Prior experience mentoring apprentices or technicians.
