Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)

Summary

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team here at Simpac. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime through both scheduled maintenance and rapid fault diagnosis of automated production machinery.

In order to support the engineering team and site as a whole, regular assistance on mechanical maintenance duties would be expected. Your work will support our mission to deliver exceptional packaging solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Reacting to breakdowns in a timely manner, including possible call outs.
  • Generate and execute scheduled PPM tasks.
  • Complete inspection to ensure site compliance with relevant regulation i.e. emergency lighting.
  • Identify and implement site / machine improvements.
  • Electrical installation work
  • Control stock levels of critical electrical spare parts and liaise with suppliers.
  • Support maintenance teams during equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Time served Electrician with minimum level 3 qualification
  • BTEC or equivalent qualification
  • 18th edition wiring regulations
  • Strong fault-finding skills
  • Good knowledge of PLCs
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing equipment
  • Preferably, experience of working in a high-speed automated environment.
  • Positive attitude toward work tasks.
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Shift Pattern

  • Mon-Thu 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, Fri 6am-11am, 11am-4pm
  • Alternating weekly, early finish Fridays
  • 35hrs

Pay: £36,654.00 per year
