ob SummaryThe Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and reliability of all printing machinery, converting equipment, and plant infrastructure. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting PLC-driven systems, repairing electrical breakdowns, and managing site utility electrical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Breakdown Maintenance: Respond immediately to emergency machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly PM schedules for printing presses, corrugation machines, and finishing equipment.
- PLC Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair PLC, HMI, and Drive systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron) on printing and packaging lines.
- Electrical Repairs: Repair AC/DC motors, sensors, pneumatic systems, solenoids, relays, and motor control centers.
- Utility Support: Maintain and troubleshoot plant utilities, including diesel generators, UPS systems, transformers, and switchgear.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and spare parts inventory in the CMMS or SAP system.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Propose modifications to electrical systems to improve production speed and energy efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the printing, packaging, or paper processing industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation (PLC/SCADA/Drives).
- Experience with offset printing machines, flexo printing machines, or corrugation lines.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and experience working in 24/7 operating environments.
- Licensure: Electrical license (B or C license) may be required.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time, on-site role, often requiring shift work (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Must be willing to be on-call for emergency breakdowns.
