Electrical Material Coordinator / Shop Manager

Disher Electric Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated Electrical Material Coordinator and Shop Manager to manage the procurement, distribution, and inventory of materials and equipment for electrical projects. This hybrid role is essential in ensuring that field electricians have the supplies they need to complete jobs efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical industry, strong supplier relations skills, and the ability to maintain an organized warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Material Procurement & Supplier Relations

• Order materials for upcoming projects and maintain stock levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective purchasing.
• Track orders and follow up with vendors on lead times and back orders.

Material Distribution & Logistics

• Distribute materials and equipment to appropriate projects/jobs as requested.
• Coordinate with project managers and field electricians to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
• Arrange transportation or delivery of larger materials and equipment when needed.

Warehouse Inventory & Organization

• Maintain an accurate inventory of stock and project materials.
• Organize warehouse/storage areas for efficiency and accessibility.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies.

Support for Field Electricians

• Ensure the electricians have the right materials and equipment for each job.
• Be a point of contact for electricians with questions about materials and equipment.
• Work with foremen to anticipate project needs and streamline workflow

Qualifications: A CDL or experience pulling large trailers ~2-5K lbs. is preferred

Experience: 3+ years of experience in the electrical field is strongly preferred

Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for supplier interactions.
• Proficiency in inventory management.
• Ability to work independently without consistent supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid office, warehouse, and field position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
