Electrical Project Manager

The Electrical Project Manager serves as the owner’s representative, providing project management oversight and technical leadership for electrical scope across capital projects. This role focuses on planning, coordination, risk management, and execution oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with owner standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the owner’s representative for all electrical scope across assigned projects
• Lead project planning, execution, and closeout from an owner-side perspective
• Oversee engineering consultants, EPCs, contractors, and vendors
• Review and approve electrical designs, submittals, RFIs, and change requests
• Ensure compliance with owner standards, codes, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and forecasts and identify risks and mitigation strategies
• Coordinate across internal stakeholders including engineering, operations, procurement, and finance
• Facilitate meetings, track action items, and provide clear status reporting to leadership
• Support construction oversight, testing, commissioning, and turnover to operations
• Drive issue resolution and decision-making while protecting owner interests

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience serving as owner’s representative or project management consultant on electrical projects
• Strong understanding of electrical systems such as power distribution, substations, and protection and controls
• Experience overseeing consultants and contractors rather than self-performing work
• Solid project controls knowledge including scheduling, cost tracking, and change management
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• PMP or similar certification preferred
