Electrical Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex electrical construction projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project schedules, and ensure the successful delivery of electrical systems that meet safety standards, client specifications, and budget expectations. The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing project scope, schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors, client communications, and field execution from project award through commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in switchgear, power distribution systems, substations, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), and industrial electrical infrastructure.

Duties

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage electrical power and infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Review electrical one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, protection schemes, and construction drawings.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with switchgear manufacturers, electrical contractors, utility companies, and consulting engineers.
• Track project costs, change orders, and project profitability.
• Conduct project meetings and provide status reports to management and customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable electrical codes.
• Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), startup, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and milestones for stakeholders.

Experience

• Proven experience managing large-scale electrical construction projects within the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong background in electrical engineering principles, system design, schematics interpretation, and blueprint reading.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience in electrical power systems or industrial electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of switchgear, transformers, power distribution equipment, MCCs, protective relays, and substations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and specifications.
• Experience managing electrical contractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling software.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
