The Role

IPEC Ltd group are currently going through a fantastic period of growth, and to manage the project backlog, sustain the growth we are looking for “Electrical Projects & Testing Technician”.

IPEC KSA is seeking a skilled Electrical Projects & Testing Technician to support project execution and electrical testing activities across customer sites. The technician will work closely with engineers to carry out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical systems and assets as part of project and CBM service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing electrical projects, installations, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Support engineers during CBM (Condition-Based Monitoring) testing, pre-commissioning testing, and annual maintenance testing.
  • Operate testing instruments such as insulation resistance testers, contact resistance testers, transformer testing tools, VLF/cable testers, and partial discharge testing equipment (training provided as needed).
  • Perform wiring, termination, panel installation, equipment mounting, and field connections.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and basic fault identification on electrical systems.
  • Assist in collecting field data, documenting test results, and preparing reports.
  • Ensure all work complies with IPEC KSA’s safety procedures and client HSE requirements.
  • Maintain tools, testing devices, and ensure equipment is kept in proper working condition.
  • Support site logistics, material handling, and preparation of equipment for field testing.
  • Travel to various client sites across Saudi Arabia as required.


Qualifications & Requirements


  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology (mandatory).
  • 1–3 years of experience in electrical installation, projects, or testing (fresh diploma holders with strong practical skills may also be considered).
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems such as transformers, switchgear, cables, protection relays, and LV/MV/HV equipment.
  • Hands-on skills in wiring, termination, and electrical panel work.
  • Ability to work with electrical testing tools and learn advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under supervision.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites within Saudi Arabia.


Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

  • Experience in field testing or commissioning activities.
  • Familiarity with testing instruments such as:
    • Insulation resistance testers
    • Contact resistance meters
    • Relay test kits (basic understanding)
    • Transformer testing equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical drawings and schematics.
