Electrical Qualified Supervisor (QS) & Operational Lead – Permanent Full-Time (PAYE)

Wave Electrical Solutions Ltd is Cornwall’s premier electrical company. We compete with unyielding technical standards, absolute reliability, and a white-glove client experience. Specialising in high-end domestic properties and critical commercial facilities, we deliver complex, zero-defect electrical solutions tailored to clients who value absolute compliance and premium quality above all else.

We are currently in a phase of rapid, strategic expansion. We are not just growing a standard trade business – we are building a highly systemised, commercially driven operation designed to dominate the regional market. At Wave Electrical Solutions, we believe in doing things the right way: we invest heavily in our people, providing top-tier equipment, streamlined digital systems, and a culture of high drive and high performance. We are looking for ambitious leaders who want to be at the forefront of this growth and help us redefine the standard of electrical contracting in Cornwall.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite, commercially driven Qualified Supervisor (QS) & Operational Lead to join our team in Cornwall. You will be the driving force behind our technical delivery, taking ownership of project velocity, compliance, and on-site team performance across our high-margin domestic and commercial portfolios.

This is not just a desk job; it is a dynamic leadership role. You will oversee a broad spectrum of complex infrastructure projects from Commercial/Domestic Rewires, Circuit additions and alterations, EV Charging systems, and more. You will enforce our unyielding standards for quality and safety, ensuring that both in-house technicians and sub-contractors execute flawlessly and efficiently.

  • Drive Project Velocity: Direct, motivate, and hold accountable both in-house technicians and sub-contractors. Enforce strict project timelines and ensure high-quality output is delivered efficiently to maximize labour profitability.
  • Manage Commercial Variations (Scope Creep): Act as the primary on-site commercial liaison. When clients request changes or additional work, expertly manage these variations by communicating options, capturing the commercial value, and thoroughly reporting actionable updates back to the office.
  • Quality Control & Advanced Diagnostics: Perform and oversee complex inspections, testing, and fault finding across a wide range of premium systems (Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV, Smart Homes). Ensure a “zero-defect” standard before final client handover.
  • Operational Data Management: Maintain rigorous, real-time records via our in-house job management software. Meticulously log time-on-task, variations, certifications, and asset data to feed our centralized operational system and support future scaling.
  • Enforce Safety & Brand Standards: Champion strict on-site health and safety protocols. Ensure that all personnel, tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles are maintained and operated in a manner that reflects our premium brand positioning.
  • Premium Client Experience: Deliver authoritative, white-glove customer service. Resolve on-site technical issues decisively and ensure high-net-worth and commercial clients have absolute confidence in our infrastructure solutions.
  • Industry Expertise & Upskilling: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging green technologies, and regulatory shifts. Use this knowledge to upskill the team on-site and maintain our competitive edge as infrastructure experts.
