Electrical Quality Surveyor (Housing)

A van will be provided, you will have a tool allowance and also all power tools will be provided.

About the role:

Carrying out Statutory electrical testing, remedials and installations and completing certification in accordance with NICEIC regulations. To provide electrical supervision and guidance to members of the Housing Service

This includes work normally accepted within the building industry as that of an Electrician as well as work which by “normal definition” is that of other trade(s) which may reasonably be expected of any competent person engaged in building maintenance activities.

About you:

  • Experience of carrying out testing and certification of electrical installations
  • Experience of carrying out maintenance or repair works in domestic / occupied properties.
  • Good understanding of industry standards and good practice plus how to apply these in the work environment.
  • The ability to deal in an understanding way with members of the public, and other staff members.
  • The ability to work alone, or as part of a team.
  • Experienced Qualified Electrician (e.g., Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ) with 18th Edition Wiring, Inspect & Test (2391), with experience in a similar housing service role.

What you will do:

  • Testing and certification of existing installations
  • Small installations
  • Electrical PPM (pre-planned maintenance)
  • Reactive repairs, and Remedial works
  • Fault finding, and diagnostic work
  • Completion of relevant electrical certificates.

This position has a requirement for a Standard DBS Check.

Service: Housing

Salary: Grade 9 Point 23 to Point 25 £34,434 to £36,363 per annum £17.84 to £18.84 per hour
