Electrical Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced Service Electrician to handle service calls throughout southern California. As a service electrician for CM Corp Facilities Service you will operate independently in a company provided service vehicle. You will be responsible for providing solutions to numerous electrical issues from lighting outages, control issues, repairing short circuits, and also providing power and equipment installations. Our service techs also update our clients and management via service apps and portals. As an independent service tech the hours are typically flexible and the primary goal is meet deadlines and completion dates.

Position Requirements

We are seeking a Certified Commercial Electrician with a minimum of five years of experience installing and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be familiar with current building codes, construction methods, and comfortable documenting as-builts or findings for service records.

• Familiar with electrical related construction methods for retail, restaurant, and grocery stores in respect to power distribution, lighting controls, Ansul systems, refrigeration, and fire life safety.
• Maintain clear communication with clients in regards to work competed or recommended repairs/upgrades.
• Knowledgeable of local building codes for related trades and electrical.
• Work in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment.
• Troubleshoot lighting, lighting controls and components.
• Ability to read wiring schematics to wire up relays, contactors and starters.
• Strong knowledge of local vendors to locate and quote components.
• Familiar with starters, contactors and transformer installations.
• Trace down shorts or broken lines.
• Read electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Calculate cost estimates for return work.
• Work with others to ensure a high quality of workmanship.
• Perform quality assurance using industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a company provided service vehicle (keep it clean, stocked, and maintained)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
