About the Role

We are hiring an Electrical Site Engineer for a Transmission Line Project under a PMA (Project Monitoring Agency) mandate. The selected candidate will be responsible for on-site monitoring, quality checks, and progress reporting for 400 kV, 220 kV, and 132 kV transmission line packages, working closely with EPC contractors and lenders’ engineers.

Key Responsibilities (PMA Role)

• Project Monitoring & Reporting:
• Monitor project progress vs. approved schedule (tower foundations, erection, stringing, OPGW installation).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for client/lender.
• Maintain photographic documentation of site activities.
• Quality Assurance & Inspection:
• Conduct random quality inspections for civil foundations, tower erection, and stringing activities as per technical specifications.
• Verify contractor QA/QC test records (cube tests, torque checks, sag-tension checks).
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to approved HSE plans, conduct toolbox talks, and report unsafe conditions.
• Verify contractor compliance with statutory and environmental requirements.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Act as a bridge between EPC contractor, client, and Lender’s Independent Engineer.
• Participate in review meetings and provide technical updates on project status.
• Technical Support:
• Review method statements and suggest improvements.
• Highlight potential risks, delays, and cost impacts with mitigation proposals.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2.5 – 3 years’ hands-on experience in 400 kV / 220 kV / 132 kV transmission line projects (foundation to commissioning).
• Sound knowledge of tower erection, conductor stringing, OPGW laying, sag-tension calculations.
• Familiarity with CEA guidelines, IS standards, and PMA documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic AutoCAD.
• Good communication & report writing skills.
