Position: Electrical Site Engineer
Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial Projects / Construction / Infrastructure

Role Summary

The Electrical Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising, executing, and monitoring all electrical works at the project site in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role involves coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems (HT/LT panels, transformers, cabling, earthing, lighting, PCC/MCC panels, motors, VFDs, etc.).
  • Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to quality and schedule.

2. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and safety teams for seamless site operations.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, vendors, and local authorities as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all electrical installations follow safety regulations and company HSE norms.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
  • Monitor and implement proper earthing, insulation, and protection systems.

4. Material & Resource Management

  • Plan material requirements based on project schedule.
  • Inspect and verify quality of electrical materials delivered to site.
  • Maintain inventory and notify shortages in advance.

5. Testing & Commissioning

  • Perform testing of electrical equipment such as insulation resistance, continuity checks, megger tests, relay testing, etc.
  • Support commissioning of electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare checklists, test reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Maintain logs of manpower, materials, and equipment used at site.
  • Assist in preparing BOQ, cost estimates, and technical documents.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of site experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, HT/LT systems, and installation standards.

Skills Required

  • Good understanding of electrical codes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
