Electrical Site Engineer – MEP

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Electrical Site Engineer (MEP) to oversee and manage electrical works at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for supervising installation activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and standards, coordinating with contractors/subcontractors, and supporting project execution from mobilization to handover.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution & Supervision

• Supervise the installation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, ELV/low-current systems, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Ensure all site activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Verify materials delivered to site are approved and meet project standards.
• Monitor daily site progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, and site teams to resolve technical issues.

Coordination & Compliance

• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, and internal project teams for inspections and approvals.
• Conduct site inspections and obtain approvals such as IRs (Inspection Requests) and MIRs (Material Inspection Requests).
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, etc.).
• Attend technical meetings and site coordination meetings.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, site logs, and documentation.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Submit RFIs to clarify technical issues and follow up with consultants.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and final handover documentation.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC procedures and project quality plans.
• Monitor adherence to safety protocols and participate in toolbox talks and HSE meetings.
• Identify and report any non-conformance and support corrective actions.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP site work within UAE.
• Strong knowledge of MEP construction practices, electrical installations, and authority regulations.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD proficiency preferred).
• Familiarity with low-voltage, medium-voltage, and ELV systems.
• Strong understanding of DEWA/ADDC/SEWA procedures.
• Good command of MS Office and site documentation tools.

Soft Skills

• Strong coordination and communication abilities.
• Team leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
