DISCLAIMER: This position is employed by Keyfive. The engineer selected for this role will work on site at the e2Companies headquarters in Bonita Springs, Florida, as part of a collaborative engineering partnership between the two organizations.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Keyfive is a boutique powerhouse at the nexus of data, energy, and AI. We partner with forward-thinking leaders to unlock intelligent, resilient systems that transform complex energy ecosystems. We specialize in seamless integration of digital twins, real-time analytics, and cloud-edge architectures. Our work empowers organizations to optimize generation, storage, and distribution without the headaches of siloed legacy tech.

We are thrilled to collaborate and support e2Companies, the pioneers of the industry’s first Virtual Utility®. Together we supercharge their in-house engineering efforts and architect the AI-ready backbone for multi-MW battery storage, microgrids, and renewable dispatch. We deliver predictive control, cybersecurity, and interoperability that make 24/7 clean energy not just viable, but profitable.

If you are passionate about turning energy data into actionable intelligence and bridging IT innovation with grid-scale impact, this partnership is where the future gets built. JOB

PURPOSE

Spend 2-3 days a week at e2Companies’ Bonita Springs headquarters for hands-on collaboration with the power electronics and grid teams, then switch to remote for deep-focus coding. As an Electrical Software Engineer, you will craft the C#-powered control logic, multithreaded systems, and Azure/IoT integrations that make Virtual Utility® platforms run. Your code will orchestrate inverters, predict grid faults, and enable seamless renewable scaling across North America and beyond.

Keyfive’s IT and AI expertise acts as your force multiplier. You gain instant access to AI-optimized data flows, secure SCADA bridges, and mature agile pipelines while owning the full stack from cycle-accurate power algorithms to cloud telemetry. This is fast-iteration engineering where your commits flip real breakers, prevent blackouts, and accelerate the energy transition. We ship weekly, measure real-world wins, and value technical curiosity over credentials. This role is perfect for EE/CS hybrids who love both hardware handshakes and software craftsmanship.
