Experience with infrastructure projects in Dubai, in dry utilities, street light, cable & ROW (Right of way) – license required
- Supervise Installation: Directly oversee and coordinate the daily installation of all electrical systems, including Low Voltage (LV) distribution, power systems, lighting (internal and external), wiring, cable trays, conduits, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Resource Management: Manage and direct a team of electrical foremen, technicians, and work crews to optimize productivity and efficiently utilize manpower, tools, and materials.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read, interpret, and accurately implement electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications on site.
- Material Control: Monitor and ensure that all electrical materials delivered and used on site are approved and conform to the project's Material Approval Requests (MARs) and quality standards.
B. Quality Control and Compliance:
- Inspection Requests (IR): Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) to the consultant/client for all stages of electrical work (e.g., conduit fixing, cable pulling, panel installation).
- DEWA Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations strictly comply with DEWA regulations, guidelines, and safety codes.
- Testing and Commissioning: Oversee and coordinate the pre-commissioning, testing (e.g., insulation resistance, continuity), and final commissioning of all electrical systems in collaboration with the testing team and consultant.
- Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical and execution issues related to electrical installations promptly.
C. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Safety Enforcement: Enforce all company and site-specific HSE regulations, especially those pertaining to electrical safety, working at heights, and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
- Toolbox Talks: Conduct daily safety toolbox talks (TBT) to brief the team on the day's tasks, potential hazards, and safe work methods.
- Risk Mitigation: Ensure proper earthing, grounding, and protective measures are implemented around all electrical equipment and installations.
D. Documentation and Coordination:
- Reporting: Prepare accurate Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) detailing work completed, manpower allocation, equipment status, and reporting any delays or issues.
- Coordination: Coordinate actively with the Civil and Mechanical (MEP) site teams to ensure integrated installation and prevent clashes.
- As-Built: Assist the engineering team in preparing As-Built documentation and final measurement reports.
