Job Description The Project

ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.

Project Scope

• Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction
• Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels
• Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie in work to the Warringah Freeway

The Opportunity

In line with the above, ACCIONA are now looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join the Western Harbour Tunnel Project.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems within tunnel infrastructure.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Manage the daily operations of Electrical works, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Ensure adherence to high risk construction activities and relevant safety documentation (SWMS, CWMS, SOPs).
• Collaborate with civil and tunnelling teams to align works with program deadlines and milestones.
• Review installation methodologies for all Electrical installations, ensuring correct use of equipment such as winches.
• Assist with lift studies for heavy equipment installations.
• Perform inspections, testing, and verification of installed systems.

Required Skills and Competencies

Capability & Experience you will need to have:

• Proven experience in managing Electrical works in tunnelling or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and control systems within the tunnelling environment.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and the ability to review safety documentation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to solve problems and handle complex technical challenges on site.
