Electrical Supervisor (Landscape)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision of Electrical Works
• Outdoor lighting systems (garden lights, pathway lights, street lighting)
• Irrigation system electrical connections (pumps, control panels)
• Power distribution for landscape features (fountains, water features)
• Project Coordination
• Work closely with landscape engineers, civil teams, and designers
• Ensure electrical layouts match landscape plans
• Installation & Maintenance
• Cable laying (underground and above ground)
• Panel board installation
• Testing and commissioning of lighting and power systems
• Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all work meets local electrical codes (e.g., UAE regulations like ADDC/DEWA standards)
• Implement safety procedures on-site
• Team Management
• Supervise electricians and technicians
• Assign daily tasks and monitor progress
• Material & Quality Control
• Inspect electrical materials (cables, lights, breakers)
• Ensure proper installation standards and durability for outdoor conditions

Required Skills

• Knowledge of low voltage (LV) systems
• Experience with outdoor/landscape lighting design
• Understanding of irrigation control systems
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Familiarity with IP ratings (waterproof fixtures)
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Typical Qualifications

• Diploma Electrical
• 3–8+ years of experience (preferably in landscaping or infrastructure projects)
• UAE experience is often preferred
• Certifications in electrical safety can be an advantage

Work Environment

• Mostly site-based work (outdoor conditions)
• Coordination with multiple contractors
• May involve night work (especially for lighting installation/testing)
