3Futures Developments is a specialist Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering building services across commercial, residential, healthcare and education projects in and around Southampton, Hampshire and beyond. We are not fans of politics, layers and there is no one too senior to pick up the phone.

Our team works hard, looks out for each other and takes real pride in what we build. We are looking for a Qualified Supervisor who wants to be part of that not just fill the role, but own it and run with it.

The package is £50,000–£55,000 depending on experience, plus company vehicle, laptop, phone and hybrid working from our Hamble base.

The Role

This is not a desk job with the occasional site visit. You will be the technical authority across our projects, keeping quality and safety standards where they need to be, managing certification and making sure everything we deliver reflects the standard we have built our reputation on.

You will also be on the tools when it counts, working alongside the team rather than above them and mentoring our apprentices in a way that actually makes a difference to their development.

Day to day that looks like:

• Holding the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor role and keeping our registration in good shape
• Owning the safety, quality and technical standard of our electrical work
• Site visits, installation assessments and certification sign-off
• Being the person the team and management come to for technical answers
• Supervising site labour and keeping projects moving
• Getting hands on when the job needs it
• Mentoring apprentices in a practical, invested way
• Working closely with the project and estimating team on delivery

Construction is unpredictable. Projects get messy, timelines shift and things do not always go to plan. We need someone who stays level headed when that happens, keeps the team calm, keeps the clients reassured and brings solutions to management rather than problems.

Someone who leads by doing and earns respect rather than expecting it.

We are a small, close team and the culture here really matters to us. We're looking for someone who is collaborative, takes accountability seriously and cares about the detail in everything they touch. If something goes wrong, we want the person who asks how to fix it, not who to blame.

Someone who interested in helping the next generation. Our apprentices need more than just supervision; they need a mentor who is patient and excited about passing on what they know.

If you are the type who works best alone, thinks they already know everything, or is not big on accountability, we are probably not the right match.

Qualifications

Non-negotiable:

• 18th Edition
• ECS card
• 2391 Test and Inspect
• Minimum 2 years in a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor or equivalent technical responsibility role
• Full UK driving licence

Great to have:

• SSSTS
• First aid
• Asbestos awareness
• PASMA
• Solar, EV or other specialist electrical qualifications
