Electrical Supervisor – Solar O&M

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage Solar Power Plant Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities. The role involves supervision of AC and DC electrical works, fault troubleshooting, safety management and coordination with clients to ensure uninterrupted plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site technicians for solar O&M activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT), safety briefings and ensure compliance with electrical and site safety standards.
• Hands on experience in DC side works including PV modules, string cabling, combiner boxes, insulation resistance testing and fault identification.
• Hands on experience in AC side works including inverters, LT panels, LV switchgear, breakers, transformers (if applicable) and earthing systems.
• Perform and attend fault troubleshooting for inverters, AC/DC trips, low generation issues and communication faults.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute work as per electrical drawings, single line diagrams (SLD) and layouts.
• Plan daily work activities, assign tasks to the team and provide practical methods to improve work efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Prepare daily work reports, breakdown reports and progress reports and submit to management / client.
• Take site measurements, support work inspections and coordinate with client/consultant during inspections and handovers.
• Ensure proper use and handling of electrical tools, testing instruments and safety equipment.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maintain plant performance and availability.

Requirements

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 – 4 years experience in solar power plant O&M or electrical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of AC & DC electrical systems.
• Experience in LV switchgear and inverter level troubleshooting is mandatory.
• Good understanding of electrical safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and lead site teams.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
