Job Summary:

Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, controls, and equipment within water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards, often supporting automation and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, pumps, VFDs, MCCs, and control panels.
• PLC/HMI: Install, troubleshoot, modify, and program Programmable Logic Controllers and Human-Machine Interfaces for process control.
• Installation: Install and wire new electrical systems, components, and control panels according to blueprints and diagrams.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in plant equipment, including sensors (pH, flow, turbidity) and instrumentation.
• Documentation: Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and maintain technical documentation for electrical assets.
• Collaboration: Work closely with operators, maintenance teams, and SCADA technicians on system upgrades and fault finding.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
• SCADA Support: Assist with the installation and maintenance of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Electrical Trade Qualification/Certification.
• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, specifically in water/wastewater treatment plants.
• Strong understanding of motor controls, VFDs, PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
