Job Title: Electrical Technician

Department: Maintenance / Engineering
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure smooth daily operations by carrying out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown support of electrical systems, while maintaining compliance with safety, ISO, and GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment
• Maintain and repair 3-phase motors, VFDs/drives, MCC panels, and distribution panels
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of electrical faults and recurring breakdowns
• Monitor electrical loads, compare consumption data, and support basic load shifting where required
• Coordinate closely with production teams during breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Read, understand, and review electrical panel drawings and schematics
• Ensure proper earthing, overload protection, MCB/MCCB settings, and correct cable sizing
• Support and troubleshoot basic PLC systems, sensors, and machine interlocks
• Assist engineering team in future planning and integration of solar power systems
• Maintain and update electrical documentation, logs, and checklists in line with ISO / GMP standards
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults
• Basic understanding of PLCs, control circuits, and automation interfaces
• Familiarity with load calculations, power distribution, and protection systems
• Ability to work under pressure during breakdowns and production emergencies
• Good documentation and reporting discipline
• Team player with good communication skills

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience: 2–3 years in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Education: Diploma or technical certification in Electrical / Industrial Electronics (or equivalent)
• Exposure to ISO / GMP regulated environments is a strong advantage
