ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

ROLE SUMMARY

Manah Power Company is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to carry out hands-on maintenance and repair of electrical systems. The candidate will work under the supervision of an Electrical Engineer to keep all electrical systems running reliably.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical equipment including switchgear, control panels, transformers, and wiring.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems and components.

• Replace defective parts, cables, and electrical components as directed.

• Calibrate electrical instruments and devices to ensure safe and accurate operation.

• Implement LOTO procedures before working on electrical systems.

• Assist the Electrical Engineer in diagnosing complex electrical faults.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, findings, and corrective actions.

• Guide Electrical Helpers in routine tasks and ensure work site safety.

• Respond promptly to plant electrical breakdowns and emergency situations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

✓ Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

✓ Minimum 5 years of practical experience in electrical maintenance in an industrial or power plant setting.

✓ Hands-on experience with switchgear, MCC, control panels, motors, and transformers.

✓ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

✓ Familiarity with LOTO, PPE, and general electrical safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO350.000 - RO450.000 per month
