Electrical Technician

Responsibilities
  • Installs more basic required system field devices and commissioning using standard configuration and commissioning tools.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems.
  • Responds to basic warranty calls.
  • Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
  • Delivers own output according to specific operational targets.
  • Explains facts, practices, policies, etc. to both internal and external parties.
  • Correct or resolve issues or problems in existing systems and processes. Makes minor changes.
  • Frequently problems and issues to be addressed generally fall within a single job area or discipline; scope of problem well defined.
  • Less often, problems may be only vaguely defined and require understanding and consideration of other job areas.
  • Often uses specialized knowledge of specific commercial, technical, trades, or office operations and less frequently uses broad theory and principles within a professional discipline or advanced technical/operational practices.
  • Individual contributor, no direct responsibility for leading others.
  • Application of knowledge is narrow (domestic) and limited to locations within a country or neighboring countries with similar culture.
Qualifications
  • 2 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 Years suggested minimum experience.
  • Associates Degree
  • Technical Degree
  • 4 Years
  • Evaluated in context of the standard size.
