Electrical Technician

The maintenance technician is responsible for the execution and development of Electrical maintenance programs for site equipment and facilities in his assigned area. He is responsible for sustaining and continually improving the operational performance and the reliability of the plant equipment by performing required maintenance activities, condition monitoring program, root cause analysis RCA to achieve highest reliability consistently for all production lines. He will also responsible for training and developing associate technicians/new joiners.

Will be accountable for aligning with the Safety, Quality and Food Safety systems / standards from mechanical, civil & environmental maintenance perspective. This includes supporting ISO & HACCP (CCPs) programs within his area.

Key Responsibilities

• Closely monitor the condition of assigned equipment area and capture any abnormalities; plan CAPA to eliminate risks
• Advises AM of the recurring equipment malfunction and corrective action required
• Conduct risk assessment and put control measures before doing any job to avoid any incidents during / after the hot work / any other maintenance
• Complete all necessary documentation according to Good Manufacturing practices
• Troubleshoot all electrical faults/ difficulties during the course of production.
• Completely and independently change the production line from one product to another, with quick and effective line startup
• Work with shift production managers and entire production team to ensure an efficient and safe working environment
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
• Comply with plant safety standards, GMP practices and all other plant policies/rules
• Clean, sanitize and maintain all equipment as required during every maintenance activity
• Must train other technicians in the area of machine operation, troubleshooting and changeovers
• Perform and record preventive maintenance tasks on all assigned equipment
• Support engineering / project team on new equipment installation and start up as assigned
• Perform major electrical overhaul of equipment
• Performs all duties in a safe manner using proper tools and wearing appropriate protective equipment as required
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment during production
• Diagnoses and repairs faulty components throughout the plant
• Work closely with store keeper to ensure spare parts are made available to avoid downtime due to inadequate spares
• Drive continuous improvement (kaizens) in the assigned area to improve reliability and efficiencies
• Carry out gap analysis from time to time to improve overall upkeep of the plant in his area
• Train and develop associate technicians / new joiners on technical area
