The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure uninterrupted and safe operations of the facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and machinery
- Maintain motors, starters, control panels, MCCs, PLC panels, and wiring
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore operations quickly
- Replace faulty components such as contactors, relays, sensors, cables, and switches
Preventive Maintenance
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance as per maintenance plan
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and replacements
- Identify potential electrical issues and recommend corrective actions
Installation & Modifications
- Install new electrical equipment, panels, lighting, and power connections
- Modify wiring and electrical layouts as per production or safety requirements
Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE norms
- Ensure compliance with statutory and safety regulations
- Report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents
Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with production and mechanical teams during breakdowns
- Support commissioning of new machines and equipment
- Assist during audits and inspections
