Electrical Technician (Maintenance Assistant)

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Electrical Technician / Maintenance Assistant to support engineers in executing preventive maintenance activities and attending to shift breakdowns across the plant. The ideal candidate will have basic electrical knowledge, hands-on skills, and the ability to follow technical instructions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Support engineers in carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities
• Assist senior staff in troubleshooting and attending equipment breakdowns
• Perform cable laying and termination as required
• Inspect, identify, and repair defective overhead and street lighting systems across the plant
• Assist during installation and commissioning of new machinery
• Carry out network cabling based on IT department requirements
• Collect spare parts from stores as per requests raised by shift engineers
• Identify and repair faulty switches and sockets within the plant premises

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to understand and follow technical instructions from engineers
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance practices
• Ability to interpret basic technical drawings
• Good teamwork and communication skills

QHSE Responsibilities & Accountability

• Comply with all EHSMS and QHSE system requirements
• Follow all applicable legal, safety, and environmental regulations
• Report all incidents, near misses, injuries, and non-conformities immediately
• Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
• Ensure safe handling and operation of tools and equipment
• Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and equipment locations
• Assist in the development and promotion of QHSE programs
• Follow safe work practices, including start-up and shutdown procedures
• Ensure work activities minimize risks such as leaks, spills, or hazards
• Support a safe working environment for all employees, especially new or inexperienced workers

Education & Experience

Academic Qualification:

• Secondary School Education

Professional Qualification:

• ITI in Electrical or equivalent vocational training (minimum 2 years)

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per hour
