Electrical Technician (Power and Control Panel Wiring)

Role & Responsibilities

1. Installation of Electrical Systems

• Wiring and Cabling: Install wiring, cables, and related components following technical diagrams and specifications.

• Equipment Setup: Install electrical equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and motors.

• System Integration: Integrate electrical components into larger systems, such as HVAC, control panels, and lighting.

• Testing & Calibration: Perform initial testing to ensure that systems are operating correctly and calibrate equipment to specified standards.

2. Maintenance of Electrical Systems

• Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect electrical systems to prevent issues, ensuring they are functioning safely and efficiently.

• Routine Checks: Test electrical systems, panels, circuits, and devices for wear or potential issues.

• Cleaning and Servicing: Clean, lubricate, or replace parts such as switches, wires, or fuses as part of routine upkeep.

3. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose Issues: Use diagnostic tools and testing devices (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) to identify malfunctions in electrical circuits and equipment.

• System Repairs: Repair or replace faulty components, such as switches, wiring, relays, and control panels.

• Document Findings: Keep records of issues, repairs, and parts used for reporting purposes.

4. Safety and Compliance

Nature of Work

The work of an Electrical Technician is often physically demanding and may involve:

• Work Environment: Working indoors in a workshop or outdoors on construction sites, sometimes in confined or elevated spaces.

• Physical Demands: Frequently lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy equipment and tools.

• Shifts and Hours: Often work regular hours but may need to be on call for emergencies or work overtime, especially if repairs are urgently needed.

• Travel: Travel to various job sites, either within a local area or over longer distances.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
