Installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical power system equipment such as switchgears, power & distribution transformers, protection relays, and control & protection panels in power plants and substations across utilities, Government Sectors (DEWA, ADDC, AADC) and industrial sectors.
Conducting testing and commissioning of MV/LV switchgears, power/distribution transformers, CTs, VTs, and a variety of protection relays.
Troubleshooting and fault analysis of switchgears, transformers, and protection relay systems.
Preparing method statements, NCRs, incident reports, and root cause analysis (RCA) documentation.
Supporting the Engineering Manager and Project Manager in site planning, execution, and coordination.
Conducting on-site training for operating personnel on commissioned electrical systems.
Strict adherence to HSE policies and demonstrating strong responsibility towards maintaining a safe working environment in line with the main contractor's guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or technical institute (local or international).
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning of MV/LV electrical systems in Utility, or Industrial sectors and Government Sectors (DEWA, ADDC, AADC)
Proven experience in:
Testing and commissioning of overcurrent, earth fault, differential, distance, under-frequency, and protection relays.
Achieving 100% success rates in relay testing and commissioning activities.
Familiarity with relays from various manufacturers (e.g., ABB, Siemens, GE, Schneider, SEL, etc.) is an advantage.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for fault identification in MV/LV systems.

Strong understanding of international standards such as IEC, IEEE, ISO, and utility-specific specifications.
Proficiency in using testing instruments and tools (e.g., Omicron, Doble, Megger, Freja, CPC, etc.).
Experience in SCADA/PLC interface testing, logic verification, and signal testing for remote control panels.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring schematics, SLDs, and cable schedules.
Familiar with energization procedures and safety clearances in live substations.
Ability to work under tight project schedules with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of reporting software tools like MS Word, Excel, and PDF annotation tools; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
Valid UAE/GCC driving license is preferred.
Willingness to work during night shifts, weekends, and holidays, depending on project demands.
