Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer

1. JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in power systems. The primary focus will be on the testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MV and LV electrical equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Testing & Commissioning of HV, MV, and LV electrical substations.
• Repairing, Maintenance, and Commissioning of:
• Power Transformers
• LV Switchgears, MV Switchgears
• Control and Protection Panels
• Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
• Power cables testing (Fault location, VLF, Tan Delta, etc.).
• Implementation and modification of protection schemes for all voltage levels.
• Circuit Breaker Retrofit projects.
• Analyzing power system faults and troubleshooting.
• Testing & Commissioning of Power Factor Correction (PFC) controllers.
• Testing & Commissioning of simple and advanced protection relays (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE, SEL).
• Performing Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on all types of Electrical Equipment.
• Readiness to travel to different project sites within the Kingdom as required.

2. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

• Must-Have Technical Skills:
• Extensive hands-on experience in substation testing and commissioning.
• Proven expertise in protection relay testing and configuration.
• Years of Experience: Senior-level experience is required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
