Electrician

Job Purpose:
The Electrician will be responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment for event setups, exhibitions, and stage builds, ensuring safe and reliable power distribution throughout the event.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and dismantle temporary electrical wiring, distribution boards, and power connections for events and exhibitions.
• Set up, connect, and maintain event lighting, sound system power, and AV equipment supply.
• Ensure proper load distribution and safe connections for all event structures and booths.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform immediate repairs during event buildup and live operation.
• Follow technical drawings, layouts, and supervisor instructions for event electrical setups.
• Inspect and test electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain electrical tools, cables, and equipment in good working condition.
• Coordinate with carpenters, painters, riggers, and production teams during buildup and dismantling.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols when handling live electrical systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in events, exhibitions, or stage production.
• Strong knowledge of temporary power distribution and event electrical setups.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly under pressure.
• Familiar with generators, distribution boards, cabling, and event lighting connections.
• Physically fit with stamina to work long hours during buildup/dismantling.
