Electrician

• Install, connect, and commission street light poles, luminaires, control panels, and feeder cables.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of existing street lighting systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Identify and repair faults such as blown fuses, faulty photocells, damaged cables, or light fittings.
• Carry out wiring, jointing, and termination of underground and overhead cables as per safety standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on street lighting circuits and control units.
• Replace defective components such as lamps, ballasts, contactors, and switches.
• Work safely with tools, ladders, and hydraulic lifts while handling live circuits under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, company safety policies, and relevant authority standards.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and documentation of new lighting installations.
• Report material requirements, job progress, and field issues to the Foreman or Engineer.
