Electrician

• Installation: Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment such as wiring, control systems, lighting, and appliances.
• Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, replace old wiring, and clean circuits to prevent breakdowns.
• Repair: Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical systems and replace damaged components.
• Troubleshooting: Identify hazards or malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
• Reading blueprints: Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to plan and execute installations and repairs.

Essential skills and knowledge

• Proven experience in electrical work and strong technical knowledge.
• Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment, such as ammeters and test lamps.
• A strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix electrical issues.
• Ability to work with other professionals like construction teams, engineers, and clients.
