Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and building codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment on construction sites, ensuring adherence to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installations and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ammeters and ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system performance
- Work with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems safely and efficiently in accordance with industry standards
- Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters and other trades to coordinate electrical installations within building frameworks
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used for project documentation
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries on construction sites, including proper handling of electrical components
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of NEC regulations
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws for electrical installations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of framing carpentry as it relates to electrical conduit installation
- Familiarity with testing instruments including ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for troubleshooting electrical circuits
- Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems for diverse applications
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to electrical work in construction environments
