Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team on a new hotel installation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning electrical systems within a large-scale hospitality development, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to current regulations and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical containment systems including conduit, trunking, tray, and basket.
- Carry out first-fix and second-fix electrical installations.
- Install lighting systems, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, power distribution, and small power systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical plans.
- Wire and connect distribution boards, panels, sockets, switches, and hotel room electrical systems.
- Test and inspect electrical installations in line with current regulations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults during installation and commissioning.
- Work alongside site managers, contractors, and other trades to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, SVQ, or equivalent).
- Current ECS/CSCS card.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification preferred.
- Previous experience on commercial or hotel installation projects.
- Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- IPAF or PASMA certification is advantageous.
Preferred Experience
- Hotel, hospitality, or large commercial fit-out experience.
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting installation.
- Testing and inspection qualifications (2391 or equivalent).

Pay: £28,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
