Christman Facility Solutions is looking for an Electrician Apprentice to join our Dallas, Texas region.

What You Will Do:

As an Electrician Apprentice, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Assists electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician/Foreman.

• Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care and use of tools and equipment.

• Mounts and straps conduit raceways and boxes as instructed.

• Assists in wire pulls with direct supervision.

• Completes installation of general use receptacle and basic switching devices.

• Assists the supervisor with tracking material usage and what material needs to be ordered.

• Digs trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.

• Operates two (2) handed tools/equipment, including but not limited to cable cutters, hammer drills, benders, etc.

• Properly plans and executes specific work as directed.

• Keeps all material, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion.

• Follows all Christman policies and procedures; ensures compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

• Keeps immediate working area clean. Must follow material procedures.

• Identifies and reports safety hazards. Takes all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel: Full time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Must have reliable transportation. Travel to and from the construction site is required. Long distance travel can be required which may include overnight stays.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

• High School Diploma or GED

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Registration with TDLR for the State Electrical Apprentice License must be completed on 1st day of employment if not already licensed.

• Able to complete 2,000 hours of on-the-job training each year of apprenticeship.

• Must obtain personal hand tools and tool belt/pouch within the first 3 months of employment (refer to the mandatory tool list provided during onboarding)

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.

• Be able to take measurements and make calculations.

• Ability to work well with supervision and peers.
